On the shore of Lake Michigan, this recent remodel project is expected to be completed by mid-winter. One walk through the kitchen and dining nook and you can almost imagine the aromas wafting from the kitchen, a blend of a beautifully crafted olive oil on foccia and a simple but elegant pasta, both paired with a fine Brunello or Pinot Grigio. The natural stonework, exquisite cabinetry, and design details all speak of the Old World, and have the same soul-soothing effect as the sound of the waves outdoors. The expansive deck adjacent to the entire west side of the house lures everyone outside. Downstairs at beach level are the guest quarters and mirrored exercise room (to help one fit into that new swimsuit).
