Modern Lake House

This striking modern home sits nestled in the foothills of Alligator Hill with breathtaking views of Little Glen Lake overlooking The Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes and The Narrows to Big Glen Lake. This house is a brilliant example of what the vision of contemporary design is today. With such beauty, this design looks like it was plucked off the mountainside in the Rockies. Local architect, Michael Fitzhugh of Traverse City, helped create the owners dream home, while giving him a few ideas of where to take the project, they also gave him the independence to create a one of a kind work of art. At first glance, we would say he was able to accomplish just that.  
 
Words cannot even begin to express the unique characteristics of this home. Walking through this masterpiece, you get to experience the owners dream come to life. Showcasing the massive openness throughout, you notice the immaculate details that all ties together with natural wood elements mixed flawlessly with modern pieces to help create a homey yet one of a kind feel. To help expand the wondrous view, but keep the contemporary atmosphere, both small and large glass windows are strategically placed throughout the home, opening the house to the breathtaking views of the water, and trees surrounding; adding yet another level of delight to the senses.
